{"id":235300,"date":"2024-11-05T09:30:14","date_gmt":"2024-11-05T09:30:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/enspirefx.com\/?p=235300"},"modified":"2025-08-08T16:48:45","modified_gmt":"2025-08-08T16:48:45","slug":"communications-et-numerisation-5g-au-ghana","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/enspirefx.com\/fr\/articles\/communications-and-digitalisation-5g-in-ghana\/","title":{"rendered":"Le minist\u00e8re des communications et de la num\u00e9risation lance la 5G au Ghana"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Accra, 5 novembre 2024<\/strong> \u2013 Ghana officially launched its 5G network at a ceremony held at La Palm Royal Beach Hotel, with President Nana Akufo-Addo and Minister for Communications and Digitalisation, Mrs. Ursula Owusu-Ekuful, heralding the beginning of a new era in connectivity. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Cette r\u00e9alisation historique fait du Ghana un leader r\u00e9gional en mati\u00e8re d'infrastructure num\u00e9rique, promettant des avanc\u00e9es significatives en termes de vitesse, de fiabilit\u00e9 et de connectivit\u00e9 de l'internet dans diff\u00e9rents secteurs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Dans ses remarques, Mme Owusu-Ekuful a soulign\u00e9 l'\u00e9volution num\u00e9rique du Ghana, c\u00e9l\u00e9brant les progr\u00e8s accomplis depuis les premiers r\u00e9seaux 1G dans les ann\u00e9es 1990 jusqu'au potentiel transformateur de la 5G aujourd'hui. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cAujourd'hui, nous c\u00e9l\u00e9brons non seulement une \u00e9volution technologique, mais aussi un t\u00e9moignage de notre r\u00e9silience, de notre innovation et de notre progr\u00e8s collectif en tant que nation\u201d, a-t-elle d\u00e9clar\u00e9.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">5G technology, or the Fifth Generation of Wireless Technology, offers remarkable improvements over its predecessors, with download speeds up to ten times faster than 4G Plus. Operating on the same radio frequencies as previous technologies but with enhanced speed, latency, and capacity, 5G enables seamless data transfers, a vital step forward for sectors including agriculture, healthcare, transportation, and manufacturing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The initial phase of the rollout will target Ghana\u2019s major urban centres, including Accra, Kumasi, and Takoradi, with a full nationwide rollout planned by 2026. The initiative is supported by Next Gen InfraCo NGIC, a shared infrastructure company co-promoted by the government and industry partners Ascend Digital, K-NET, Radisys, Nokia, Tech Mahindra, AT Ghana, and Telecel Ghana. This consortium is expected to make high-speed internet more accessible and affordable, fostering increased digital adoption across the nation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Minister also addressed inclusivity and data security, stressing plans to extend 5G connectivity to rural areas through the Universal Service Fund, managed by the Ghana Investment Fund for Electronic Communications (GIFEC). On cybersecurity, she assured that the new infrastructure aligns with international standards to safeguard users\u2019 data.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Le lancement de la 5G devrait acc\u00e9l\u00e9rer la croissance \u00e9conomique du Ghana, stimuler l'innovation et am\u00e9liorer la qualit\u00e9 de vie, marquant ainsi une \u00e9tape importante dans le parcours de num\u00e9risation de la nation.
